Our Story....

Okay, everyone, here it is. Our highly anticipated blog. I know that you already know most everything about Jesse and I and our lives so far, but I'm going to do a little recap of the last couple of years for a couple of reasons. First, Jason McGrew, my wedding photographer, has supposedly sent the DVD of our pictures but I haven't seen anything yet, so I will blog about the pictures I do have. Second, I'm hoping that one day I might have a random blog-stalker like you, Ker, and they'll want to know about this stuff. Ha.

The Beginning:
Jesse and I met in the fall of 2008 at FAMILY HOME EVENING. Jesse hates when I tell people that because it seems a little BYU-cliche, but I think it's FUNNY. We started dating, and although we had plenty of picture-worthy dates, I never took any pictures. Jesse took me to the Opera and the Symphony, we went to sporting events, hiking, skiing, snowshoeing, and all sorts of fun things where we looked pretty or really awesome, but I just didn't take any. I think I was picture-averse after seeing all of the beauties from Heidi's Africa pictures. Oof.

So anyway, here is the first time we ever took a picture. It was Valentines Day 2009.  Heart-shaped cookie pizza for dessert....delish!

I didn't get much better at taking pictures, but I do have this awesome video of Jesse hula-hooping on the Wii. Oh my. I love this video of Jesse because so perfectly captures a few of his characteristics. First, Jesse is determined. You can see it in his face. Second, Jesse has no shame. He is NEVER embarrassed. That's a good thing, most of the time.

Jesse and I had a very eventful summer before he left for medical school in Dallas.
We went to a Real Salt Lake soccer game....

We road tripped to California and Moab....

We toured the Kennecott Copper Mine (Jesse's dad is the BOSS there!!!!)....

We rode our bikes to the Sonic for a Route 44 Diet Coke and/or strawberry cream slush...

And we ate A TON of ice cream and/or frozen yogurt. Good thing the wedding was in 2010...

We also ran a marathon, but nobody wants to see a picture of anyone after they've just ran for 4 hours. And even if you did, my mom is still working on emailing me the pictures.

So that was our summer. We fell in love, and then Jesse moved to Dallas....
